The economy of Honduras is very poor, compared with the U.S., so my cost of staying here, is less than the rent was for my apartment in Orlando. Even so, it is not zero. In general, my average cost of living here for one month is $450. This means that it would only take 15 people, donating about $30/month, to support my work here for one year. If you would like to help out, you can contribute through PayPal using the following button:
Please note: Since I am just a private individual, and not a "non-profit organization," your contribution will NOT be tax deductible. In addition, I am not a business, so I cannot accept donations by credit or debit card. The only donations through PayPal that will work are from checking accounts (don't worry - I don't see any account information) or by funds already in your PayPal account.
My blog has moved! I'm still in Honduras, but have set up a new site about international cooking. To consolidate everything (and make it easier and more likely for me to update the blog), I have established a separate board in the site's forum to use in place of my old blog. Visit MY NEW SITE for further information.
One of the great innovations of modern technology that is really helping me here is the Vonage broadband telephone service. It allows me to have a local, Orlando phone number, even when I am in Honduras. Because of this, I am saving a bundle on international phone rates. For more information, check out the Vonage website.
